Valentine’s Day

A day devoted to treasuring two hearts,

Enamor me, enchant me,

Devour, melt, and fall apart.

Decorate the streets,

Bond and canoodle with her heart,

Finish,

But never truly start.

Reach that dwindling day upon which you realize,

Your endless love is shattering,

She’s the one you traumatize.

A good love, we snivel and weep.

Turned to gray,

Quiver, quash,

find your heavy sleep.
